Marine Flange

1.Structure: Marine flanges are usually composed of flanges, bolts and sealing gaskets. The flange is the main connecting part with standardized connection size and shape; bolts are used to fasten the flanges together; sealing gaskets are used to ensure the sealing of the flange connection.
2.Features: Standardization: Marine flanges follow national or international standards, ensuring that flanges produced by different manufacturers can be used interchangeably.
High Strength: Marine flanges are usually made of high-strength materials as the piping systems on ships need to withstand high pressure and tension.
Corrosion resistance: ships usually operate in a marine environment, marine flanges need to have good corrosion resistance to withstand the erosion of seawater and marine atmosphere.
Easily disassembled: marine flanges are bolted together and can be easily disassembled and reassembled for maintenance and replacement.

Material: Commonly used materials for marine flanges include cast steel, stainless steel, bronze and so on. These materials have good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance, and can meet the needs of various fluid transmission systems on ships.
Selection: When choosing marine flanges, it is necessary to select the appropriate material, specification and model according to the actual use scenario and demand. For example, for piping systems that need to withstand higher pressure and temperature, materials with high strength and high temperature resistance should be selected; for occasions that need to resist seawater erosion, materials with better corrosion resistance should be selected.

1.Installation: Before installing the marine flange, it is necessary to check that the flanges, bolts and sealing gaskets and other components are intact.
Align the flanges on the piping or equipment with the marine flange and use the bolts to tighten them together. When tightening the bolts, they need to be tightened progressively in a diagonal sequence to ensure an even force on the flange joint.
Check that the sealing gasket is installed correctly and ensure that there are no leaks in the flange connection.
2.Maintenance: Regularly check the marine flange connections to ensure that the bolts are not loose or falling off.
If leakage is found at the flange connection, replace the sealing gasket or tighten the bolts in time.
When disassembling and reinstalling the marine flange, care needs to be taken to protect the integrity of the flange and sealing gasket to avoid damage.
